About Stray / Independent by instinct
A first audience.
A next chapter.
Great filmmaking deserves a way forward.
Stray exists to help independent filmmakers find their audience, build momentum around their work, and take the next step—from a short film toward a feature.

Help the work
find its people.
Making a film is an act of belief. Finding an audience shouldn’t be an act of luck.
We’re building a place where emerging filmmakers can share their work and audiences can discover them early. Watching, responding, and supporting a film helps make that connection visible.
That audience response becomes Signal: a way to understand what connects, recognize momentum, and help filmmakers see a path to what comes next.
01
Discover the work.
Find independent films and the people making them.
02
Be part of the response.
Watch, share what resonates, and support films you believe in.
03
Build toward what’s next.
Help early audience interest become momentum a filmmaker can build on.
02 / The people behind Stray
We believe in
the next filmmaker.
The same belief connects the team building Stray: independent work deserves to be seen, and the person behind it deserves a next step.
Our job is to bring filmmakers and audiences closer together. That purpose shapes the platform we’re building and the stories we tell as Stray.
